Six Rivers Brewery

Six Rivers Brewery

Six Rivers Brewery is a large brewpub that serves a variety of house beers just off of Highway 101 on California’s Lost Coast. The brewery also has the distinction of being one of the northernmost breweries in California. The brewpub is large and open and can get fairly busy on weekend evenings, especially when there is a live band playing.

While their website looks like it was made in the late 90’s, the house beer line up at Six Rivers is pretty extensive, with regular bottled beers and draft beers. Their popular regulars include Bluff Creek Pale Ale, Weatherman Wheat Ale, Paradise Moon Porter, and Hammond Trail American Ale.  Their Chili Pepper Spicy Ale is also worth a try; as the name suggests is made with hot roasted chili peppers and is definitely an acquired taste. Additional seasonal beers are also available on tap.

This is one of a few good stops on the northern coast of California. Nearby Eel River Brewing and Lost Coast Brewing offer great stops in the area.
