Institution Ale Company

Institution Ale Company is a small brewery and tap room run by three brothers, based in Camarillo, California, and focused on making American-style ales. Institution Ales usually has rotating taps of their beers brewed on their 3.5 barrel brewing system. Their standard beers are Restraint – American Brown Ale, Institution IPA, and Sedation – Red Ale. Institution’s rotating taps are based on their Progress Pale Series which are similar recipes, with only the type of hops changed.

Located in an industrial complex not far from Highway 101, the brewery and tap room are located in the same space and are only separated by windows behind the bar. Institution Ales does not serve food in their tap room, but they allow you to bring outside food in.
