Hermitage Brewing Company LogoHermitage Brewing Company is one of the production craft beer brands made by the owners of Tied House in Mountain View. Hermitage came out of the ashes of Tied House’s shuttered downtown San Jose location, which was closed in 2009. When the brewery closed up shop, they moved all of the brewing equipment to Hermitage’s current location in an industrial area of San Jose to focus on the production and bottling of great craft beers. With that production line up and running, they recently opened a tap room to allow the public to drop in and enjoy a pint.

The beers produced by Hermitage tend to be on the hoppier side and cater to hop heads and craft beer lovers that like to drink the more “experimental” brews. Their staple beers are the “Topia” line, which includes Hoptopia, Ryetopia, and Maltopia, the Single Hop Line, and the “Ale of the” line.
