Goldwater Brewing Company

Goldwater Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery and a more recent addition to the beer scene in Old Town Scottsdale. Its location is a bit off the beaten path as far as touristy Scottsdale is concerned, but that is what makes this brewery such a great find. Its a little quieter and a little more chill than some of the clubby beer bars up the street. It also helps that Goldwater Brewing is turning out some really great beers.

The brewery itself is modern and rustic all at the same time. The previous occupant of this building was Mandall’s Shooting Supplies, who famously featured a teddy bear holding a machine gun on their sign that hung outside for decades. Goldwater Brewing pays homage to this history by featuring that same sign on a wall tucked away in the back of the brewery. They also have a second tap room located in the basement of the building, which used to be Mandall’s indoor shooting range. In this tap room, you can find one-off specialty brews.

The bottom line for us on Goldwater Brewing Company is that it is a must stop for us whenever we are in Phoenix, and we highly recommend it.
